Cottage Style Coffee Tables
- A lighthouse comprised of a small one story building with a light on top. The building housed the keepers, were relatively inexpensive to build and maintain.
- A two paneled shutter whose top section is slightly smaller than the bottom section, usually proportioned 40%-60%.
- A style of architecture for houses, usually of wood construction, made popular in the 19th century by architects Andrew Jackson Downing and Alexander Jackson Davis, who created pattern books for standard house designs.
- A low table, typically placed in front of a sofa
- While any small and low table can be, and is, called a coffee table, the term is applied particularly to the sets of three or four tables made from about 1790; of which the latter were called 'quartetto tables'.

I've been in such a nesting mood, lately. Doing a lot of cleaning, sorting (and purging!) things around the house.
It's really cutting into my Flickr time - I hope this mood passes soon! ;-)

Architect Flat File Coffee Table
I am totally smitten by this coffee table made from an old silver architect's flat file (5 drawer) with added rolling casters. I *SO* want to find and/or make one of these to use as a television stand for my living room! I lik that I could easily and store my DVDs in the little drawers, too.
